Ostap Zgalat-Lozynskyi

Dr.Sci., Head of Department of Thermomechanical Treatment of Higher Melting Point Materials / Scientific Deputy Director of Frantsevich Institute for Problems of Materials Science, NAS of Ukraine
Ostap Zgalat-Lozynskyi graduated from the National Technical University of Ukraine, “Kyiv Polytechnic Institute.” He had short-time fellowships at the Fraunhofer Institute for Ceramic Technologies and Systems (Dresden, Germany). His scientific interests are experimental and theoretical investigations in the field of synthesis and consolidation of nanostructured materials based on refractory compounds for operation in extreme conditions. He deals with modern spark-plasma and microwave sintering technologies, as well as the additive technologies (FDM and Robocasting) for obtaining the complex shape components from polymer-ceramics, ceramics and biocomposites. He managed and coordinated more than 10 scientific and educational projects. He is the author of more than 100 scientific works and patents.
