Dear Participants of the MSCR-2024!

I am honored to welcome you to the IXth International Samsonov Conference, “Materials Science of Refractory Compounds” (MSRC-2024).

The conference bears the name of an outstanding scientist, Grigoryi V. Samsonov. He is one of the founders of the materials science of advanced refractory carbides, nitrides, borides, silicides, etc. His fundamental works in the chemical bonding of refractory compounds formed the basis of the scientific concept of creating composite materials based on refractory compounds with the necessary properties.

Refractory materials operate under extreme conditions, such as high temperatures, pressures, and aggressive media, and are widely used in many industrial fields. The conference will discuss advances in the fundamental understanding and application of refractory materials.
The MSRC-2024 will feature discussions on Synthesis and Properties, Composite Materials, Low-Dimensional Materials and Nanostructures, Films and Coatings.
